Standing over 200cm / 6'6.6(ish) and thick with muscle, Gaelio might be difficult to overlook. Add violet hair badly cut (a single, stupid bang between his eyes), and the jagged scar that covers the right half of his face, from forehead past chin and neck. (His blue eyes are less noteworthy.) The scarring does not stop there (cutting broad swaths down his front and back), but he keeps well-covered. His attire from home is clearly a military uniform. Here, the provided clothing is of mixed sufficiency. Black slacks would pass as fitted, but that they end at mid-calf (obscured if worn with his white boots). Incongruently, a purple doublet. A faded denim jacket fits, the collar often tugged up over his neck. The signet is like all the rest, but the combined effect of seeing it (should you ever) in tandem with the protrusions in the back of his neck, where the spine begins, is as if it pierces at an upward slant through his neck.

Generally soft-spoken, with a certain extreme exception, emotion more ghosts through than permeates his speech. A member of the upper echelons of ruling society, his bearing and carriage does have some trained refinement and regality. Long legs, long strides. Tends toward gestures with his hands, if less so these days. He once cared for fashion and style, but at the moment, he doesn't even care about the doublet/jean jacket clash.

Much changed from the man he once was, Gaelio too might like to know his dislikes and likes, though he has not the focus or interest in such things until he's accomplished his goal. Once exuberant, frivolous, and naturally rude, an easy-going, light-hearted, and charming guy, he has tumbled to the opposite end of that spectrum. Generally silent and severe, piqued by philosophical questions and deeper contemplation. Only one subject, one man, gets him fired up, at which point, if near him, all bets are off. Cue frustration and fury, and his obsession with understanding him.

Otherwise, a focused and methodical individual, serious and to task and order. He takes offense at little, his concerns heavier than petty slights. Consequently, he tends to find the simple, brash and over-familiar amusing. One other thing might yet move him, taking his attention: those who fight for the pride of another. Loyalty and dedication. Those devoted to and striving for another, to protect. The execution of respectable emotions and higher ideals.

What does it mean to be human? Who is he? He wonders, too. The more resolved he becomes, the sooner the rug's yet again pulled.

The Bauduin heir, child of one of the seven ruling families of Gjallarhorn, Gaelio received thorough instruction in the usual subjects, as well as debate, politics, etc. As that society has flares of old European aristocracy, he was trained also in fencing and similar activities and sports. Having entered into the "peace-keeping" yet militaristic organization, also combat skills such as use of firearms, the piloting of mobile suits, and some survival and hand-to-hand. Though always overshadowed by his genius workhouse best friend, second best to that kind of guy isn't bad. He's more talented than he seems.

Illusion Manipulation — While he will need practice to cause the target to experience precisely what he intends, this power tampers with the target's perception and senses. The more detailed the "world" and the more expansive/sizable, the shorter it lasts. The more familiar he personally is with what he's trying to create, the more effective -- i.e., never having walked on lava, he'd do a poor job of making one feel that, whatever the strength or development of imagination and experience. Yet, could make it seem as though it snows, brutally cold, the snowflakes melting on noses. Not being a mind reader, he also cannot cause one to see the face of a loved and lost person, unless he's met that person. (However, telepathy and someone choosing to send a mental visual might assist with that.) While a focused illusion might cause the the target to feel true pain, believing they were struck, there would be no injury in reality. Finally, due to his intermittent instability and the envisioning component, until he has sufficiently trained and improved, he will often experience the illusion himself before focusing it on the world or target, and continue to experience reduced effects thereafter, good or bad. Obviously, all contingent on player permission.
